BSkyB seem to have problems with Sky Digital being hacked already. At least it seems that way as a warrant for a search on the premises of Paul Maxwell-King's Maxking Interfaces Limited stated that the grounds were Conspiracy To Defraud BSkyB. The strange thing about this is that there is no confirmed hack on Sky Digital at this time and the analogue Sky services seem to be largely ignored apart from the small PCTV experiments and VCL activity.
The raid was carried out on Thursday 19th November. Paul Maxwell-King and his wife were arrested and the property was searched for any illegal devices. Maxking Interfaces Limited maufactures the MK interface/programmer device. They were not charged and according to the message on the Maxking website, were bailed and have to report back to the police station in February 1999.
The webpages, with the exception of www.paulmax.eng.net have been taken down pending legal advice. Due to stock, paperwork, invoices, creditcard slips and postal books being removed for investigation, Maxking is temporarily not in a position to despatch orders. Legal advice is also been taken on the continuance of trade. However it is believed that no laws are being broken by Maxking.
